Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) Across Mainstream and Specialist Settings

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work full-time across schools in Chesterfield and Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

• Work on a 1:1 basis with children who have a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.

• Provide tailored support within both mainstream and specialist education settings, adapting your approach to suit each child's individual needs.

• Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to help deliver personalised learning plans and ensure every child can reach their full potential.

• Support the wider classroom environment and contribute to creating an inclusive, nurturing learning atmosphere.

• Previous experience working with SEND children in both specialist and mainstream settings is essential.

• A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning and well being.

• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday (term-time).

• An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
