An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Audit trained, qualified accountant to join a dynamic, fast-growing blue-chip organisation headquartered in the heart of Manchester. You'll be joining a business that is experiencing rapid growth and transformation, offering exposure to group-level reporting, acquisition accounting, and senior stakeholder engagement.

The Role:
You will take ownership of statutory and financial reporting for a large, multi-entity business, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of results to internal and external stakeholders. The position plays a key role in the financial control environment and offers a genuine opportunity to influence and improve reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements under IFRS / FRS 101/102.
• Manage external audits, ensuring all queries are resolved efficiently.
• Oversee acquisition and disposal accounting, partnering with key teams during integrations and due diligence.
• Take ownership of consolidated group results, ensuring accuracy across multiple entities.
• Drive VAT, corporation tax, and other statutory submissions with external advisors.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, identify variances, and drive continuous improvement.
• Support senior finance leadership with insights, analysis, and reporting enhancements.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA) with 2-3 years post-qualification experience.
• Ideal for someone moving from audit into industry, or making their second industry move.
• Excellent technical knowledge across IFRS / FRS 101/102 and statutory reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, detail-focused mindset.
• Confident communicator, able to build relationships across finance and wider teams.
