The Production Manager will play a key part in ensuring day-to-day manufacturing operations run smoothly. A hands-on approach and an enthusiastic mindset are pivotal to success in this role.

Client Details

My client is a well-established UK business who design, manufacture and supply an exceptional range of products to a variety of regulated industries.

Due to their continued success they are looking to bring an enthusiastic and passionate Production Manager into their business, and aid in strengthening their existing team.

This appointment will be pivotal in ensuring day-to-day manufacturing operations run smoothly and would best suit someone with a hands-on approach and an motivational mindset.

Description

  • Ensuring production targets are achieved on a daily and weekly basis, and working alongside supply chain on the production plan, in order to hit the desired revenue target.
  • Promoting and supporting continuous improvements and company best practice.
  • Acting as a member of the leadership team, developing the people within the team to excel and reach their potential.
  • Developing and improving key metrics such as OEE, safety, quality, OTD and profitability through successful review of data.
  • Positively driving behaviours to ensure employee engagement.
  • Driving initiatives to deliver manufacturing excellence across systems, procedures, policies and standards.

Profile

The successful Production Manager will have:

  • Proven experience as a Production/Manufacturing Manager with time-served in a similar or more junior role within production. Suitable candidates may currently be in Shift/Team Leader roles as well as Management positions.
  • Experience with manufacturing principles and achieving KPIs in a challenging environment.
  • Proven skillset in motivating, developing and engaging employees in their department.
  • Ability work with procedures and processes and create these where no such SOPs currently exist.
  • Hands-on approach and a shop-floor bias.
  • Good communication skills at all levels of the business with a focus on team and peers.
