RoleWe are seeking an experienced and confident Assistant Accountant who can hit the ground running and support the wider accounts team. This role will suit someone who is proactive, detail-driven, and capable of managing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities - Supporting month-end processes, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and analysis as required
- Processing invoices, expenses, and supplier payments
- Supporting year-end audit preparation
- Ad hoc financial tasks to support the Finance Manager and wider team
Desirable Skills & Experience - AAT Level 4 qualified (essential)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Confident, proactive, and able to work independently
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Prior experience in a growing or fast-paced business environment is advantageous
