Job Description

A market leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Sales Administrator to join the business, based in Bishop Auckland, for a fully office-based role.

The successful candidate must have an excellent telephone manner, a high standard of customer service and be able to work as part of a team. As a key member of staff, you must be able to work efficiently and accurately in a busy office environment.

Please note, this role has a shift pattern inclusive of evening shifts that must be worked 1 in every 5 weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the records of existing companies and contacts
  • Setting up new customers
  • Processing customer enquiries and sales orders
  • Entering prices and quotations onto an ERP system
  • Setting up collections with couriers
  • Processing invoices
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints
  • Researching sales opportunities from a variety of sources
  • Contacting potential customers to gather information for marketing purposes and recording findings within the computerised customer database
  • General administrative duties

A full knowledge of our products is essential therefore in-depth product training will be provided.

Requirements/Experience:

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be IT literate, and have experience of Microsoft Office.

Experience of using a CRM or ERP system would be an advantage. An eye for detail and a high level of accuracy is essential.

A minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade 5/grade C and above, or equivalent including English and Maths.
