Sales Administrator - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Sheffield

Contract Type: Full-time 
Start Date: 5th January 2026
Duration: 9 months (potential for permanent position)
Salary - £27 - 30k per annum

Elevation Recruitment are currently working with a production business based in Sheffield to support them with the recruitment of a Sales Administrator on a 9 Month fixed term basis. The role has the potential to go perm after this.

They are looking for an organised and proactive Sales Administrator to join the team to provide vital end to end sales support to the Engineering Services division during a maternity cover period.

Key Skills Required:
  • Prepare and process quotes, purchase orders, and pricing updates in collaboration with the Sales and Production teams.

  • Keep the CRM system accurate and up-to-date with customer interactions and contact details.

  • Liaise with production and internal teams to gather lead times and technical information.

  • Track key quotes and follow up with customers as directed by the Sales Manager or Business Development Executive.

  • Assist with gathering market insights and customer feedback to support future planning.

  • Maintain records, templates, and administrative documentation (both digital and paper-based).

  • Support customer visits, trade exhibitions, and general coordination.

  • Assist with processing sales orders and maintaining compliance with internal policies.

  • Provide updates to customers on order progress and compile regular engineering progress reports.

  • Prepare and present sales figures and contribute to internal sales meetings.

  • Answer incoming calls and handle reception duties in a professional manner.

  • Provide occasional cover for Shipping/Logistics within other business areas.

  • Enhance customer experience through professional communication and service.

As a Sales Administrator - ideally you will have:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Sharp attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

  • Confident managing priorities with minimal supervision.

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
