We're partnering with a leading international logistics distribution and supply chain group to appoint a Finance Director for their UK operation, based in Sheffield.

The company is private equity backed with European headquarters and a strong global footprint, operating across multiple markets within the industrial and logistics sectors. This is a pivotal leadership role, partnering closely with the Managing Director and European CFO to drive commercial performance, improve financial processes, and support ambitious growth plans.

As Finance Director, you'll lead the finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, control and strategic insight across all areas of the business. Acting as both business partner and financial custodian, you'll help shape long-term strategy and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop the UK finance team, ensuring strong reporting, governance and compliance.
• Partner with the Managing Director and regional CFO to deliver financial strategy and operational improvement.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and the full P&L, providing commercial insight and challenge.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital and internal controls to support business stability and growth.
• Drive process improvement and system development across finance and operations.
• Build strong relationships with auditors, banks and key external stakeholders.

We're looking for a commercially minded and hands-on finance leader with experience in logistics, distribution or supply chain environments.

You will have:

• Proven experience leading a finance function in a fast-moving, multi-site or international business.
• Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting and analysis.
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification with 7+ years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience within a private equity backed or complex group structure.
• A pragmatic, collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills.

• £90,000 - £110,000 base salary (depending on experience)
