Production Manager in Sheffield - Elevation Recruitment Group

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a heritage manufacturing brand in Sheffield are seeking a hands on Production Manager to lead their facility, driving the shop floor performance for product output and quality. You'll be playing a key part in the companies success and image, ensuring that customer receive the best products within their expected timeframe.

The Production Manager will be supported by a team of highly skilled Operators and Team Leaders, with people management being a core function. Having a tight production plan will be central to the manufacturing facilities success, with the Planning Manager and Production Manager being in close control of this. Budgets and tooling costs will be handled by the Production Manager, ensuring the operators have the right kit, and right materials to manufacture. Safety, efficiency and quality will be the three words the Production Manager should live by.

To be considered for this role, we want to see:

• Production Management skills within a CNC / machining / turning / milling / grinding operation, with enough knowledge to jump on the machines and help out when necessary. CNC programming abilities are a big bonus
• Good examples of people & performance management - communication, production data analysis, quality data. team member training, recruiting, motivation
• Good manufacturing practice knowledge - writing and improving SOPs, analysis of process for efficiency gains, nee equipment set up
• Product manufacturing schedules, timeline management, forecasting and capacity planning
