CNC Machinist in Sheffield - Elevation Recruitment Group

Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing engineering business that produces high-quality precision components. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced CNC Machinist to their team.

Salary: £38,831
Shifts: 3 Shift pattern, Mornings, Afternoons & Nights 
Location: Sheffield

You will set and operate CNC and manual machines to produce components to customer specifications, working from technical drawings and using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.

• Set up and run CNC and manual machines
• Work from drawings, blueprints and specifications
• Select and install tooling, fixtures and materials
• Set speeds, feeds and coolant levels
• Load and run CNC programs
• Carry out trial runs and make adjustments
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
• Work with production and engineering teams to solve issues
• Keep the work area clean and report any defects or faults
• Support Lean and safety initiatives
• Complete basic documentation as required

• At least two years’ machining experience
• Apprenticeship or HNC preferred
• Confident operating CNC and manual machinery
• Good understanding of machining principles and materials
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
