The Role

As a Paraplanner, you’ll provide technical research and report-writing support to advisers, ensuring recommendations are well-researched, compliant, and tailored to clients’ needs. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end paraplanning process and act as a key point of contact between advisers, compliance, and administration teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed research and analysis including:
  • Fund and product comparisons
  • Charges analysis
  • Taxation implications (IHT, CGT, LTA, etc.)
  • Compile and draft clear, compliant suitability reports.
  • Work collaboratively with advisers to refine recommendations.
  • Liaise with compliance, administration, and tax teams to ensure all cases progress smoothly.
  • Monitor case progress through Intelligent Office and report on status updates.
  • Uphold Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Consumer Duty principles in all client work.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements and best practice sharing across the team.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent qualification).
  • Proven end-to-end paraplanning experience in a financial advice environment.
  • Proficiency with research and financial planning tools, ideally including:
  • Selectapension, FE Analytics, Dynamic Planner, Voyant, Assureweb, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of investments, pensions, and protection products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of FCA compliance, TCF, and Consumer Duty principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and back-office systems such as Intelligent Office.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Flexible hybrid or remote working options.
  • Full study and exam support towards further professional qualifications.
  • Supportive, collaborative working environment with ongoing development opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work with a reputable, client-focused financial planning business that values its people and promotes professional excellence.

If you’re a detail-driven and technically strong Paraplanner looking to progress your career within a professional, ethical, and supportive business, we’d love to hear from you.
