Our client is an international jewellery business headquartered in Israel, with offices based in London. They are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their UK team.
As the head office operates from Israel, the ideal candidate will be able to speak or understand basic conversational Hebrew however this is not essential.
This position is part time, 15 hours a week flexi and offers hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate accounting records in SAGE.
• Input supplier invoices, cash transactions, credit card and petty cash payments.
• Prepare and post monthly payroll journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Prepare end-of-year accounts for submission to external accountants.
• Complete annual stock and P11D journals.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns under Making Tax Digital (MTD).
• Manage supplier payments, including foreign exchange and related SAGE entries.
• Maintain spreadsheets tracking imports, goods received, and foreign exchange payments.
• Email customer statements and chase payments where necessary.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior bookkeeping or management accounts role.
• Strong working knowledge of SAGE accounting software.
• In-depth understanding of VAT
• Understanding of the Hebrew language desirable but not essential
• Proficiency in Excel for maintaining financial spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Experience within a retail or luxury goods business is advantageous.
