Finance & Compliance Manager

Location: London / Hybrid

Reports To: Finance Director

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

About the Role

Our client is looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) to step into a pivotal Finance & Compliance Manager position within our global media group. This role sits at the intersection of financial governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial operations — ensuring that our fast-moving, creative business operates with transparency, integrity, and full control across all markets.

You’ll bring a blend of financial acumen, risk awareness, and curiosity — supporting leadership to make confident, compliant decisions as we continue to grow internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the financial compliance framework, ensuring adherence to statutory reporting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements across multiple entities.
  • Lead on SOX-style controls, risk registers, and internal audit processes to ensure consistency and accountability group-wide.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments impacting the media industry (FCA, HMRC, GDPR, IFRS updates, ESG reporting obligations, etc.).
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and HR to ensure ethical business practices in areas such as payments, tax, anti-bribery, and data protection.
  • Review and strengthen policies around financial governance, approvals, and delegated authorities.
  • Support external audits and ensure timely submission of statutory accounts and tax filings across jurisdictions.
  • Prepare compliance reports and presentations for senior management, Audit Committee, and Board.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and compliance awareness across finance and operations teams.
Skills & Experience
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with post-qualification experience in a group finance, internal audit, or compliance function.
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, governance frameworks, and international reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).
  • Experience within a media, entertainment, or technology business preferred, but open to candidates from fast-paced, multi-entity environments.
  • Confident in dealing with cross-functional teams, external auditors, and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exposure to GDPR, anti-bribery, or ESG compliance frameworks advantageous.
Why Join Us
  • Work for a globally recognised media brand that blends creativity with commercial discipline.
  • Shape how finance and compliance operate together in a modern, international business.
  • Hybrid working, dynamic culture, and opportunities to progress into senior finance or governance roles.
  • Be part of a team that champions ethical growth and financial transparency.
