Waste Management Job Description

There are a number of different types of positions available in the waste management sector, including sales, engineering and lab technician posts.

In some roles specialists develop cost estimations and design projects, while in others they work in a laboratory environment and manage hazardous waste disposal.

Technical posts usually require a High School diploma plus at least two years’ experience. For sales posts previous experience in industrial cleaning sales is often preferred.

Working as a waste management planner often requires a bachelors or masters degree in a related field, such as environmental engineering, planning or business, as well as a proven business track record.
