Secretarial Job Description

Broadly, secretarial work is administrative in nature and may include clerical or supervisory duties, depending on the post.

There are plenty of general clerical roles in a number of sectors while some positions require knowledge of a specific field, for example secretarial work in the paralegal or patient care sectors may require previous relevant experience or a related qualification.

Part-time and temporary work is available as well as full-time posts. At personal assistant (PA) level in addition to minute-taking and shorthand skills, positions may include the requirement to manage one or more diaries of company executives, handle telephone and email inquiries, make travel bookings and prepare presentations.
