Scientific Job Description

The sciences have many sub-divisions including physics, chemistry, biology, math, IT, research and statistics so training background and preferred field of interest play major roles in determining which scientific area is most appropriate when looking for employment.

Within healthcare environments, for example, posts include lab technicians, project and scientific managers in individual departments (oncology, cardiovascular, virology, molecular biology etc) and scientific directors in a medical communications agency.

The best way to identify appropriate jobs is to check the minimum requirements in the preferred area and then work towards achieving these. There are likely to be openings for those fresh out of college as well as more experienced graduates.
