Photography Job Description

This sector is ideal for creative people who have a good eye for a picture and can react quickly when events are happening around them.

Photographers can choose from a range of specialties, such as press and photojournalism for newspapers and other news media, preparing promotional material for corporate businesses, or working in the fashion industry photographing models for catalogues and magazines.

Other areas could include wedding photography and portraits, working in advertising and editorial departments for magazines, or for scientific research organizations documenting medical treatments and conditions.

Many photographers take university or college courses to help develop their technical skills.
