Engineering Job Description

The fabric of America was built by innovative engineers and they are still much in demand by industry as new technologies and construction projects develop.

Engineers need an excellent grasp of physics, chemistry and math and be logical thinkers, able to solve complex problems, often under considerable time pressures.

The sector has wide-ranging opportunities, from nuclear and chemical engineering through mechanical and computer engineer posts.

Large scale infrastructure projects, such as building bridges or working for the military, offer good opportunities to gain experience and progress up the career ladder. Employers will expect a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with higher qualified candidates always in demand.
