Dental Job Description

The field of dentistry offers many opportunities for interesting positions in places that include hospitals, private practices, laboratories and correctional facilities.

Dentists must graduate from dental school and then pass a dental board exam in order to work in a state. The dental industry needs a range of employees to support the work of dentists, including assistants, hygienists, administrators and receptionists.

The industry also requires sales people to sell dental products as well as work in the businesses that produce them. Some dental positions may require qualifications greater than a high school diploma, though entry-level support jobs usually will not.
