Working across many different business sectors, consultants are hired to provide a range of expertise to organizations looking at forward development or restructuring.
Consultants need to be good all-rounders in terms of leadership and management skills as they may be heading up a team of other specialists or employees.
Consultants advise clients using their experience to help guide businesses who are instigating projects that need specific skills not already in-house.
Most consultants will be qualified to degree level or higher and be good at problem-solving, with areas of work that include financial management, human resources development, marketing and public relations, project management and IT.
