Construction Job Description

The construction industry is one of the prime drivers of the economy and employs a vast army of workers to create, build, maintain and repair apartments, houses, retail outlets, hotels, warehouses and factories.

From property developers to architects, quantity surveyors to building site managers, sanitation engineers to electricians, there are many professions and trades that link the industry together.

Qualifications vary, from a laborer who needs no official qualifications to an electrician who will require a license for the state to be worked in.

Architects and quantity surveyors will normally be required to have at least a bachelor’s degree or industry qualification.
